Regular Season followed by Single Elimination Playoffs
The North American Groupfighting Draft League was hosted in Fall 2020. The league was created and hosted by Kristine and sponsored by Warlance Game Servers. Midway through the league, Kristine was caught for having cheating software that gave him a competitive edge over his opponents and was ousted from his league. Wastee and TheJollyCanadian took over the responsibilities of the league after the incident. In this league, the format from Aurum's Gold 5v5 League Season 3 was adopted: best-of-3 (series) and a best-of-30 (individual match).
Format
Regular Season & Playoffs
This league featured a regular season that determined the placements and entrance into the playoffs. The regular season lasted for 4-5 weeks (extended to 6 weeks due to holidays) where each team played two series during that week. The playoff requires the team sitting at the 7th seed will be eliminated from the playoffs.
Match Format
Matches were played in a best-of-3 series where the team that managed to win two maps would take the win for the match. Within these matches, "maps" were played as a best-of-30. If a tie was achieved, over-time would commence and play out in a best-of-6 situation until a winner was decided. Eventually, over-time rules were scaled back to a maximum of one best-of-6 series, with a ft4 being played as a tie-breaker.
